Product Highlights

Proline® GOLD fungicide has dual modes of action that work in synergy to protect canola yield potential by offering excellent disease control, especially in high disease pressure situations. Proline GOLD provides a combination of two powerful actives: the trusted performance of Group 3 (prothioconazole) and Group 7 (fluopyram). It’s expertly formulated to protect against yield-robbing sclerotinia infections and ensure maximum yield potential can be achieved. Proline GOLD lets you unlock the full potential of your canola crop.

Trial Timeline

Proline GOLD Fungicide Demonstration Trial

  • A graphic displaying the yield results from agricultural test plots. It compares the performance of "Proline GOLD" treated crops against untreated crops across different seed varieties (DK800LL, DK801LL, DK400TL, DK401TL, DK900TF, DK902TF, DK903TF), showing the yield increase in bushels per acre.

Performance may vary from location and from year to year, as local growing, soil and weather conditions may vary. Growers should evaluate data from multiple locations and years whenever possible and should consider the impacts of these conditions on the grower's fields.

Agronomist Summary

The planting date was May 17, 2024. Fungicide application was Proline GOLD on the back 20 ft. of the canola trial applied July 9, 2024. Disease conditions were extremely high.

Flowering stage at application ranged from 30-50% open flowers depending on the hybrids (i.e. Hybrid G being 30% because of its later maturity) Also, this is probably why the yield difference is lower with Hybrid G vs. earlier infection in the earlier maturity hybrids and why the yield difference is so large. Conclusion is that the disease infection was immediate upon flower opening time.

Moisture in-season was above average for the 3 months of May, June & July.

The prothioconazole provided good protection against the sclerotia infection and the fluopyram contributed to the disease control and overall long season plant health benefits from the increased standability seen in the images (i.e., untreated heavily infected, weaker stalks, and earlier death/dry down of plants as well as fallen over, vs. treated area healthier and stronger standing stalks).
